Hi, I've been looking at mst support a bit more, and noticed a regression in the number of devices probing between 4.0 and 4.1 On 4.0 if I boot with no dock, and cat /proc/asound/HDMI/codec#0 Node 0x06 has Devices: 0 if I dock I get Devices: 3, and the info about the 3 devices. On 4.1-rc6 if I boot with no dock, and cat I get Devices:0, however when I dock, I still get Devices: 0 I haven't had time to bisect yet, but was hoping someone might be able to spot it from the symptoms. [alsa-devel] [PATCH] alsactl: Try to create state file directory

Try to create the directory for the state file when saving so we don't depend on it being created ahead of time. This only checks for failures on existing directories and doesn't try to create the leading directories or workaround any other errors. This should catch the common case where /var/lib exists, but /var/lib/alsa doesn't. The set of supported sample rates depends on the master clock supplied to the codec. Allow the machine driver to set the required master clock in hw_params(). I have used the TAS2552-EVM to verify that my setup is in working condition for a work on other audio product. During the bringup of the EVM I have faced some issues and limitation with the driver. The result is this series against the tas2552 driver. In some cases, there are no additional components driving the data lines to a safe state so they might have noise. While in inactive slots, the McASP AXR pins configured as outputs can be driven low through the serializer pin drive mode setting (DISMOD) to prevent such noise.
