But they are cleanuping card resources on each way. Same code in many places makes code un-understandable. This patch reuses soc_cleanup_card_resources() for cleanuping code resource. Then, it makes avoiding cleanup order. It will be called from snd_soc_instantiate_card() and snd_soc_unbind_card(). Then, original soc_cleanup_card_resources() included snd_soc_flush_all_delayed_work(), but it is now separated. I am attempting to build the 1.1.8 release of alsa-utils and getting an error about POLLRDNORM (and others) undefined. This error comes from axfer/waiter-select.c. axfer/waiter-select.c includes "waiter.h", which includes "poll.h". This build is for a linux target. poll.h includes sys/poll.h which includes bits/poll.h, which only defines POLLRDNORM (and others) when __USE_XOPEN is defined (which it is not). However, linux/poll.h includes asm/poll.h which includes asm-generic/poll.h which does define POLLRDNORM (and others). Should I change my build to define__USE_XOPEN or should I patch waiter.h to include linux/poll.h instead of just poll.h? Jay

alsa-project/alsa-utils issue #9 was edited from takaswie: Reported by Jay Foster in alsa-devel list. http://mailman.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2019-January/144024.ht… The v1.1.8 release brings FTBFS of axfer in his legacy toolchain (glibc v2.9) for arm platform, due to missing definition `POLLRDNORM` and the others, used in `axfer/waiter-select.c`. An option of `-D_GNU_SOURCE` for CFLAGS can suppress the issue. With glibc v2.22, no issues. During development period of axfer, this issue has never been got. More recent version of glibc (v2.28) was used and the macro is available without any explicit options.
