Hello, i'll use a Crative SB0570 card with the ca106 driver with jackd and 5.1. In qjackctrl I've only see two channles. I've look im the ca106_main.c. In the struct snd_ca0106_playback_hw are the line .channels_max = 2, //6, Is it possible to set channels max to six? Or if anything develpment required? Michael

Hi. I have a problem with recording on HP nx6325 laptop with hda-intel (AD1981HD codec). The problem is described in [1], and [2], but nobody can help there, so I write here (maybe more developers reads mailing-list ;)). Problem is that arecord, audacity or skype stops recording after 5-10 min. Unloading and loading modules helps, but only for another 5-10 min. What info do you need to debug the problem ? PS. HG version differs only three patches (not related to the bug) from 1.0.16rc2, so I didn't try HG. Hi, after upgrading from 2.6.24 to 2.6.25-rc1, I lost headphone-out sound output of my Intel HDA card - it is quiet no matter what the mixer settings are. After playing wit git bisect a bit, I narrowed it down to commit f889fa91ad47e "[ALSA] hda-codec - Improve the auto-configuration". [1] It works okay with tree as of previous commit 69b1f1e8337fc9. Hi, I'm trying to use a LADSPA plugin in the pcm-plugin layer of the ALSA userspace library. However I get an error saying ALSA needs two control ports (input and output) while the plugin only has one input control port. What could be the problem? Thanks for your help E-J Below are all the details: I'm running the software on a Blackfin DSP processor with uCLinux. The plugin is obtained from LADSPA org. The tools analyseplugin and applyplugin (as delivered within the LADSPA SDK) do work correctly. I use the amp.so plugin. Hi, is there any way to use the digital output via toslink on my Samsung P50 notebook? It has an integrated Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller. The soundchip is supported via HDA-Intel and the codec is Analog Devices AD1986A. If the digital output is not supported at the moment, I'd like to help the developers with information, testing an even coding. Hi there I got suspend2ram working on my desktop machine, using a terratec dmx (quite old, but rock-solid hardware mixing) with es1878 Chipset. If I'm unloading the module before hibernation and reload after wakeup everything works (thought kmix and kradio are being closed, which is a bit stupid). If I'm trying to suspend with the module loaded no sound output is possible after wakeup (mixer still there). An alsasound restart won't bring the soundcard up again (no mixer, no nothing). Tried this with kernel 2.6.22 buildin alsa as well as the freshest HG tree. System is Gentoo. Any ideas where to search for that problem? Looks like a bug to me. Christian

HI! I am working with a Au1200 based board and trying to make the audio(AC97 + STAC9752) work after applying the ASoC patch at http://opensource.wolfsonmicro.com/~git/asoc/. After writing the machine driver for my board based on the exmmb-ac97.c as a template, my codec is being detected, which is on PSC1. But when I play some .wav file using aplay, I get to hear the sound with a very low volume, which is almost not recognizable. I unmuted the codec with these two commands #amixer set "Master" 255 unmute #amixer set "PCM" 255 unmute I also tried to watch /proc/interrupts but I am not able to see any interrupts coming on IRQ 11 that is for PSC1.
