This patchset has 2 fixes around fifo handling adds support for v1.7.0 controller found in SM8450 SoCs. Also a patch to make reset optional for v1.6 as this is not required for sc8280xp. alsamixer not readable in xterm

alsa-project/alsa-utils issue #176 was opened from Frank-Steiner: Hi, after upgrading from opensuse 15.3 to 15.4 we realized alsamixer is not useable in standard xterm with white background (which is our default) because the black background vanished. Found https://mailman.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/2021-June/185925.html which explains it. But that patch was a bad idea for everyone just using standard xterms and not themed ones. [PATCH] ALSA: Use del_timer_sync() before freeing timer

From: "Steven Rostedt (Google)" <rostedt(a)goodmis.org> The current code for freeing the emux timer is extremely dangerous: CPU0 CPU1 ---- ---- snd_emux_timer_callback() snd_emux_free() spin_lock(&emu->voice_lock) del_timer(&emu->tlist); <-- returns immediately spin_unlock(&emu->voice_lock); [..] kfree(emu); spin_lock(&emu->voice_lock); [BOOM!] Instead just use del_timer_sync() which will wait for the timer to finish before continuing. No need to check if the timer is active or not when doing so. This doesn't fix the race of a possible re-arming of the timer, but at least it won't use the data that has just been freed.
