The quirk function snd_emuusb_set_samplerate() has a NULL check for the mixer element, but this is useless in the current code. It used to be a check against mixer->id_elems[unitid] but it was changed later to the value after mixer_eleme_list_to_info() which is always non-NULL due to the container_of() usage. This patch fixes the check before the conversion. While we're at it, correct a typo in the comment in the function, too. [alsa-devel] Master volume not controlling applications' volume.

Changing the master volume in pavucontrol (or alsamixer) does not have any effect. The only way to change the volume is to go into the playback tab and change it for each application. The volume only changes when I set the master volume to 0 or when I increase it over 100%. In between there aren't any changes. Running arch on a Lenovo X1 Carbon if that's of any use. I am using the arch default configuration files. The patch ASoC: intel: cht_bsw_max98090_ti: Add all Chromebooks that need pmc_plt_clk_0 quirk has been applied to the asoc tree at https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/sound.git for-5.4 All being well this means that it will be integrated into the linux-next tree (usually sometime in the next 24 hours) and sent to Linus during the next merge window (or sooner if it is a bug fix), however if problems are discovered then the patch may be dropped or reverted. You may get further e-mails resulting from automated or manual testing and review of the tree, please engage with people reporting problems and send followup patches addressing any issues that are reported if needed. If any updates are required or you are submitting further changes they should be sent as incremental updates against current git, existing patches will not be replaced. This pathset fixes some issues detected while testing some more the Microchip I2S multichannel controller. The first two patches fix some issues that appear mostly when hw_free() and hw_params() callbacks are called multiple times. The third patch fixes a problem caused when the controller is in master mode and both capture and playback are played at the same time. All three patches have a "Fixes" tag. Although they are independent, some conflicts might appear if they are not applied in the order presented in this patchset. If so, please let me know so I can rebase them. When transitioning to supend state, uniphier_aio_dai_suspend() is called and asserts reset lines and disables clocks. However, if there are two or more DAIs, uniphier_aio_dai_suspend() are called multiple times, and double reset assersion will cause. This patch defines the counter that has the number of DAIs at first, and whenever uniphier_aio_dai_suspend() are called, it decrements the counter. And only if the counter is zero, it asserts reset lines and disables clocks. In the same way, uniphier_aio_dai_resume() are called, it increments the counter after deasserting reset lines and enabling clocks.
