The patch ASoC: msm8916-wcd-analog: add missing license information has been applied to the asoc tree at https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/sound.git All being well this means that it will be integrated into the linux-next tree (usually sometime in the next 24 hours) and sent to Linus during the next merge window (or sooner if it is a bug fix), however if problems are discovered then the patch may be dropped or reverted. This patchset contains the anonymous dup implementation with permissions checking for the ALSA's PCM interface in kernel to enable the restricted DMA sound buffer sharing for the restricted tasks. The code was tested through qemu and it seems to be pretty stable. The initial tinyalsa implementation can be found here: https://github.com/perexg/tinyalsa/commits/anondup The filtering might be refined. It depends on the real requirements. Perhaps, we may create more ioctl groups.
