These motherboards have Sound Core3D and apparently "support" Recon3Di. Added to the quirk list as QUIRK_R3DI. During d3/d0 cycle, the connection selection index of all pins points to the default value. This needs to be restored to ensure audio is restored after d3/d0 cycle. So store the connection selection index and program it during jack report event which gets invoked in cases like d3/d0 cycle, hot plug detection when multiple displays are connected. SLIMbus supports upto 16 bytes in value management messages, so add support to read/writes upto 16 bytes. This also removes redundant single register reg_read/reg_write. Also useful for paged register access on SLIMbus interfaced codecs. [alsa-devel] poll blocked after prepare state

Hi I have a problem when I got an underrun that my playback path is not working correctly any longer. I debugged the problem and see that the snd_pcm_direct_prepare function is called and than the snd_pcm_dshare_start function. After this the snd_pcm_write_areas is called and the snd_pcm_wait_nocheck never returns. He is blocked in the poll function. Is there any solution for this problem?! best regards Harald

If the audio device is externally clocked and set to a rate that does not match the external clock, the clock will never be valid and we cannot set the rate successfully. To fix this, allow a rate change even if the clock is initially invalid, and validate again after the rate is changed. This fixes problems with MOTU UltraLite AVB hardware over USB.
