This patch set fixes some of the issues with Huawei laptops. [PATCH v2 1/3] The first patch adds support for missing hotkeys on some models. Some hotkeys, like brightness keys, work out of the box on these models. [PATCH v2 2/3] This one enables the front speakers on the Huawei Matebook X Pro (MBXP). This solves bug 200501 https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=200501 It simply uses the pins configurations generated by hdajackretast using the settings posted on the bug page https://imgur.com/a/N1xsCVZ [PATCH v2 3/3] This enables the micmute LED on Huawei laptops. [alsa-devel] [PATCH] vga_switcheroo: Fix missing gpu_bound call at audio client registration

The commit 37a3a98ef601 ("ALSA: hda - Enable runtime PM only for discrete GPU") added a new ops gpu_bound to be called when GPU gets bound. The patch overlooked, however, that vga_switcheroo_enable() is called only once at GPU is bound. When an audio client is registered after that point, it would miss the gpu_bound call. This leads to the unexpected lack of runtime PM in HD-audio side. For addressing that regression, just call gpu_bound callback manually at vga_switcheroo_register_audio_client() when the GPU was already bound. Hi, While preparing for merging the davinci and omap directories (I will send the series for that shortly) I have taken some time to do cleanup on the McBSP driver. The mcbsp.c/h files were the result when we moved code from arch/arm/plat-omap to sound/soc/omap/ a long time ago and it contained code for McBSP core and the OMAP3 sidetone functionality. With this series I tried to split the core and sidetone code to separate files. There were two reasons for this: 1. to have the OMAP specific DAI driver files prefixed with omap-* under the new sound/soc/ti/ directory 2. easier to find functions as all sidetone code is in separate file. gcc notices that without either the ac97 bus or the pdata, we never initialize the regmap pointer, which leads to an uninitialized variable access: sound/soc/codecs/wm9712.c: In function 'wm9712_soc_probe': sound/soc/codecs/wm9712.c:666:2: error: 'regmap' may be used uninitialized in this function [-Werror=maybe-uninitialized] Since that configuration is invalid, it's better to return an error here. I tried to avoid adding complexity to the conditions, and turned the #ifdef into a regular if(IS_ENABLED()) check for readability. This in turn requires moving some header file declarations out of an #ifdef. The same code is used in three drivers, all of which I'm changing the same way. [alsa-devel] Applied "ASoC: nau8825: remove unnecessary unlikely()" to the asoc tree

The patch ASoC: nau8825: remove unnecessary unlikely() has been applied to the asoc tree at https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/sound.git All being well this means that it will be integrated into the linux-next tree (usually sometime in the next 24 hours) and sent to Linus during the next merge window (or sooner if it is a bug fix), however if problems are discovered then the patch may be dropped or reverted. You may get further e-mails resulting from automated or manual testing and review of the tree, please engage with people reporting problems and send followup patches addressing any issues that are reported if needed.
