[alsa-devel] print audio ring buffer in kernel space

Hello, I am trying to print the ring buffer used for DMA transfer using ALSA in kernel space. I was able to print the ring buffer in user space after calling the snd_pcm_readi() function. But, wanted to know as to which file I need to be looking at to print the hardware buffer in kernel space as I am trying to debug capturing audio using ALSA. I am using a MCBSP I2S on TM320DM365 processor and CQ93 on chip voice codec driver. Appreciate any help as I am new to ALSA. Thank you.

During suspend/resume, there is a flow that if a driver does not support SNDRV_PCM_INFO_RESUME, it will fail at snd_pcm_resume(), and user space can then issue SNDRV_PCM_IOCTL_PREPARE to let audio continue to play. However, in dpcm_be_dai_prepare() it only allows BEs to be prepared in state SND_SOC_DPCM_STATE_HW_PARAMS or SND_SOC_DPCM_STATE_STOP. The BE state will then stay in SND_SOC_DPCM_STATE_SUSPEND, consequently dpcm_be_dai_shutdown() is skipped in the end of playback and be_substream->runtime is not cleared while this runtime is actually freed by snd_pcm_detach_substream(). If another suspend comes, a NULL pointer dereference will happen in snd_pcm_suspend() when accessing BE substream's runtime. According to the datasheet RESET is active low pin, i.e. system goes to reset state when pin is low. Handle logic state correctly - set reset_pin to logical 0 at boot time, and set it to logical 1 when we need to reset the chip. [alsa-devel] [PATCH] FSL_SSI: fix fsl_ssi interrupt reporting so that interrupts are only reported when they have been enabled.

The current implementation reports all interrupt stats in /sys/kernel/debug/*.ssi/stats, even if the interrupt was not enabled. This is not the intention as per the comments. This fix keeps track of ever bit in the SIER register that has ever been enabled, which allows fsl_ssi_stats_show to actually only report those interrupt counts for interrupts that are enabled.
