When I run your command :
aplay -Dhdmi:1 /tmp/NewVoiceMale.wav
aplay: main:590: audio open error: Device or resource busy
when I run my command aplay /tmp/NewVoiceMail.wav
it plays the file (no audio though).
asound.conf has hw:1,3 for my device. if I change it to hw:0,0
I get analog audio out the back.
