alsa-bat is upstream which can do automated testing, providing there is a
loopback or tester PC. 

There are also some automated tester boards (I think maybe UP^2, minnowboard
atm) as part of the CI, but it's still WiP. I'd expect to see this improving and
new HW being added in the future.
