The machine has a still unknown codec from Cirrus, possibly CS8409.
And IIRC we had some thread for debugging a similar Mac in the past,
but in vain.
Usually Apple implements some non-standard things, e.g. controlling
via VREF on an unused pin. So try to find out some information on
other OS.
