[alsa-devel] Compressed Audio Playback/Capture through ALSA framework

Hi,

Is there a precedent for playback/capture compressed audio stream 
through ALSA playback/capture interface if underlying hardware supports 
decoder + sink & encoder + source capabilities?

Which source file can I find an example?
