[alsa-devel] No sound for HP Pavilion DV4z

Alright. Well, it again seems like a no go.
Ran all the commands, still no sound. Upon starting Amarok, I receive the error "xine was unable to initialize any audio drivers."

Then also when I do aplay -l I get:

**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 1: HDMI [HDA ATI HDMI], device 3: ATI HDMI [ATI HDMI]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

Attached is the alsa-info text.

Thanks again.
Andrew

Ah no, you don't have to restart the system at all.
Maybe I wasn't clear enough.

The sequence above itself will make your sound system already usable.
(and you don't have to probe_only=1 option.)
Just use your sound apps after the sequence above after checking the
mixer status.

If it still doesn't work, run alsa-info and attach the outupt again.
Also, show the kernel message, too.
