Thanks!  Now applied to ALSA tree with slight modifications to follow
the standard coding style.  Also, your embedded patch was broken
likely due to your MUA, so I had to apply it manually.  Please check
HG tree later if it is OK for you.

If the MUA problem cannot be fixed easily, please use attachments at
the next time.
