[alsa-devel] Virtual Surround, where to start

Hello everyone.

I am a programmer but I do not have experience with ALSA.  I would like to
see if I can add software support for the SRS and other features of my
M-Audio Revolution 7.1 card.  How could I best start on this task?  I am
assuming that the card has some hardware acceleration for the SRS algorithms
that I will need to access.
