Rainer doesn't reply to email for a long time, is there any way to somebody else sign-off his driver? Maybe he has some trouble, it will be big waste if his driver will be foredoomed.
I made simply update of his patch, so it can be merge with alsa-driver-1.0.17

Why this is not enough, to merge his driver with alsa?
I'm afraid that we lost contact with Rainer permamently.

It's not enough to push to the mainline. See $LINUX/Documentation/SubmittingPatches for details.
