Using the following patch to usbquirks.h, I was able to get MIDI in and out working on the Digidesign Mbox2!! The capture/playback PCMs are also configured with alsa, but the status on these are "closed". I am guessing I need to snoop the commands on interface 1 (control device) to enable them. Also, there is some "magic" needed to initialise the device which I have captured. It seems that the device needs to be loaded with altsettings = 0 on interfaces 1-5 first, then some setup codes are transmitted, and finally the following altsettings are used.
