[PATCH v1 0/5] ASoC: sunxi: Add support for D1/T113s internal audio codec
Hi,
This is the series adding support for internal audio codec on Allwinner D1/T113s SoCs family.
My work based on Icenowy Zheng's patches from sipeed repo that adds support for the R329 audio codec. But, unfortunately, these patches were not sent to upstream. So, I adapted them to fit the T113s. In the future, support for R329 could easily be added on top of this series. Because D1/T113s and R329 SoCs have almost the same audio codec IP, with slight differences in the analog part, plus the R329 has two additional ADCs.
The series includes modifications for the existing sun4i-codec driver that brings support for the digital part of the D1 codec. And adds the new sun20i-d1-codec-analog driver for the analog part.
I would be glad if someone have a look :)
Cheers, Maksim

Looks the same as allwinner,sun8i-a23-codec-analog.yaml. Why can't you use that?

Hmm. You're right. But let me explain my decision :) When I added a new file, I assumed that since this is a separate driver, then the binding should be in a separate file.
As an example, I looked at the sun50i-a64-codec-analog.yaml binding. It is mostly the same as sun8i-a23-codec-analog.yaml too.
So I really don't know which approach is better. If you advise me just add a new compatible sting to sun8i-a23-codec-analog.yaml, then I'll gladly do it in the next version.
Cheers, Maksim

Driver architecture of one give OS does not matter for the bindings.
Best regards, Krzysztof
Allwinner D1 has an audio codec similar to earlier ones, but it comes with 3 channel ADC instead of 2, and many registers are moved.
Add basic support for it.

The internal codec on D1/T113s is split into 2 parts like the previous ones. But now analog path controls registers are mapped directly on the bus, right after the registers of the digital part.
Add an ASoC component driver for it. This should be tied to the codec audio card as an auxiliary device.
