Problem: Alsa randomly crashes after ~10 hours of use; this varies from 2 to 20 hours. Symptoms: Sound stops while media is playing (in web browser, or mplayer), or convulses sporatically.

The issue is not always reproducible (i.e I can reproduce the result when I want), but it is perisistant.
