[alsa-devel] Fix for busy loop at boundary wrapping with ioplug based plugins
Hello everybody,
I have found an odd problem during long testing of our device, that suddenly starts misbehaving after several hours of use.
What happened is: A client opens a device based on the jack plugin for reading, and keeps reading from it. After 10 hours 55 minutes, the snd_pcm_readi() functions starts to report data to be always available for read, and makes the reader use all the cpu it can.
My patch will follow shortly, please tell me what you think of it.
Best regards, Luciano
