the lspci ouput, so that you can have a general idea
of what kind of
machine i have. please let me know if there is

to solve this bug.
more details on
the problem:
doing $ arecord -f cd test.wav
produces a
file of 44 bytes. it's as if no microphone is
attached to the
jack. this behaviour has been evolving from the commit
i showed
you forth. at the beginning, a file with actual data was
produced, but no audio came out of the speakers when reproducing
it.
going on with the
commits, the file became 44 bytes long.
