Hi,

what is the exact status for maya44 driver? I've found some files in alsa source named maya44.* but card is not recognized. There are also some patches to 1.0.17 floating in the net.

I've also found some legacy information about the driver [1] and statement dated 2008 from this mailing list that the driver "cannot be merged without a proper sign-off" [2].

Is there any chance that it will be merged upstream? Is it technical or legal problem that prevents this from being done? How can I help?
