Internal speakers do not work when system is started from cold boot. The machine is an all-in-one type.

Rebooting from Linux or Windows makes the speakers work: an audible click is heard during boot and sound works.

The headphone jack works in both cases, as well mixer elements. I believe the speakers amplifier is not turned on.

I've noticed some inputs are configured differently in each case (i.e.):

input: HDA Intel PCH HDMI/DP,pcm=3 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0e.0/sound/card0/input18

vs

input: HDA Intel PCH HDMI/DP,pcm=3 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0e.0/sound/card0/input9
