I released alsa-driver, alsa-utils, and alsa-plugins packages version 1.0.18rc1. The alsa-lib tree had a few short bugfix commits - so stable alsa-lib 1.0.17a is available for download now. For changes see:

alsa-utils-1.0.18rc1 has no alsactl/init/* files due to a typo.
