[alsa-devel] EAPD enable for HP ALC221
Hi Takashi,
HP ALC221 platform needs to enable EAPD for speaker output. Attach patch was enable the EAPD for speaker. Thanks.

The EAPD should have been enabled as default. If it isn't the case, likely something else is wrong.
Could you give more information, e.g. alsa-info.sh outputs at both working and broken states?

The nid is the 0x17. Default nid were 0x14 and 0x15. And the 0x1d verb doesn't have enable amp bit.

You must have tested with an ancient driver.
