[alsa-devel] Prague Audio miniconference - draft schedule
As previously announced[1] by Takashi our annual Linux audio miniconference will be held this year at the SuSE offices in Prague on Friday 27th October (the week of ELC-E). Thanks again to SuSE for sponsoring this.
Following the earlier discussion I've pulled together a list of topics. I've put people's names against everything, mostly the people who suggested things but sometimes also other people who should probably be involved. I'm proposing that we work through things in roughly this order. Does this make sense to people? Any other topics?
Summary - API status summary (tiwai) - Userspace release schedule - Docs - Dropping old drivers - Treble overview (Eric) - aplay rewrite (Sakamoto-san)
ABI issues - USB PCM handling (tiwai) - mmap no IRQ (Eric) - TLV API issues (Sakamoto-san) - Obsolete dimen from struct snd_ctl_elem_info (Sakamoto-san) - Y2038 (tiwai)
Future stuff/internals - Clock handling (Peter) - CCF, multi-clock selection - Digital domains (Charles/Lars/Morimoto-san) - Large regmaps (Charles)

It's outside of my proposed topics[1]. I think there's an appropriate way when proposing topics or requesting things to the others, Mark.

I raised this as something we ought to discuss and mentioned that it was something you'd been bringing up, you didn't say anything so I read your other suggestions as additional topics. If you don't want to discuss it I'm not sure how much there is to discuss as everyone else seemed pretty happy with the status quo, though there was Charles' proposed patch which we were going to cover.

Just work for what you proposed by yourself, Mark.

OK... so does anyone actually want to talk about this then?

Hm, I thought Charles proposed that?
I'd like to see a consensus for the direction we'll be heading, at least.
thanks,
Takashi

I'd included it in the initial e-mail I sent out. Charles has posted a patch in response to the big mail from Sakamoto-san but then there was no real discussion after that.

Right, I thought that was where we were going but I'm not actually seeing much discussion that needs concluding.
