I am not able to see a sound indication with : arecord -f cd -vv /dev/null
resent because my subscription hadnt been activated at the time i submted this.

Does the problem exist with the latest alsa-driver snapshot? git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound-2.6.git ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/tiwai/snapshot/alsa-driver-snapshot.tar.gz
