Make sure that you pass no model option, or just pass model=auto option. If this still doesn't work, try with probe_only=1 option. Then you'll see whether it's the controller side or the codec side.

Something wrong in your setup. When probe_only=1 is enabled, this shouldn't call any codec parsers including hda_generic.c.
