Well, for playback it works great. This thing has awesome sound. It would only accept S24_3LE format and 96000KHz rate. I thought you get that rate only with the advanced switch on. Mine is off. Also acrecord -l does not list the device as recording device.

I recently bought an Edirol UA1-EX. While looking at the Matrix I saw that you need help testing the device. I can devote some time in testing in development. Although I am not new to linux I'm new to the alsa development process. I would very much appreciate if you point me to some starter's documentation or anything that will help.
