[alsa-devel] New Guy Here...
Greetings,
I recently bought an Edirol UA1-EX. While looking at the Matrix I saw that you need help testing the device. I can devote some time in testing in development. Although I am not new to linux I'm new to the alsa development process. I would very much appreciate if you point me to some starter's documentation or anything that will help. In the meantime if there is anything I can help with I would gladly do so.
Thanks, Minko
Hi,
Does it work? If so, great. Otherwise, report bugs on things that don't work to the ALSA mantis: http://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/
That's pretty much all there is to it.

Well, for playback it works great. This thing has awesome sound. It would only accept S24_3LE format and 96000KHz rate. I thought you get that rate only with the advanced switch on. Mine is off. Also acrecord -l does not list the device as recording device.

AFAIK these switches only have effect after you've re-plugged the device.
Also acrecord -l does not list the device as recording device.
This device does not support full duplex at 96 kHz. The switches and their valid combinations should be documented in the manual.
