What do you mean exactly "unmuting the channel I'm capturing from"? If you mean to turn on/off "XXX Capture Switch", then it's a feature, no bug.

I assume that this must be a bug. If there's anything I can do to assist with debugging this, please let me know.

• Linux 2.6.32 (Debian Linux 2.6.32-20)
• alsa-lib 1.0.23
