Try the latest snapshot from ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/tiwai/snapshot/alsa-driver-snapshot.tar.gz There are bunch of bug fixes there.

If it still doesn't work, try model options available for this codec. See ALSA-Configuration.txt for details.
