[alsa-devel] alsa doubt

Hi,   Can anybody please explain the below doubt. Acccording to my knowledge for any audio play scenarios using alsa. ALSA has to set the data path first and once the data path is set the data flow begins.   Now my question is how alsa know when the data path is set I mean how it is implemented?     Thanks
