Not at all. Why would you want retry IPC after recovery in the first place?
So what happens after FW recovery? Will this lead to an xrun and cause usersapce to restart the stream?
If DSP dies so does the stream. Recovery is not guaranteed, it's an attempt. What userspace does with that is for userspace to decide.
