alsa-project/alsa-lib issue #391 was opened from judicandus:
Installed a fresh Pop OS installation on an Acer Chromebook Plus 514, but audio is not working with just one interface available "Dummy Output". Alsa-info attached: [alsa-info.txt](https://github.com/alsa-project/alsa-lib/files/14733718/alsa-info.txt)
**1) What I already tried to do** All the instructions in: https://support.system76.com/articles/audio/ , specifically: i. reinstalling pipewire and deleting configurations: systemctl --user restart wireplumber pipewire pipewire-pulse rm -r ~/.config/pulse/* rm -r ~/.local/state/wireplumber/*
ii. reinstalling apps sudo apt install --reinstall alsa-base alsa-utils linux-sound-base libasound2 sudo apt reinstall libpipewire-0.3-0 libpipewire-0.3-common libpipewire-0.3-modules pipewire pipewire-audio-client-libraries pipewire-bin pipewire-pulse sudo alsa force-reload
iii. snh_hda_intel specific bug fix echo "options snd-hda-intel dmic_detect=0" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf echo "blacklist snd_soc_skl" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf (reboot)
iv. installing SOF driver according to https://github.com/thesofproject/sof-bin from the tarball
Nothing worked.
