when running make in the alsa-driver source i get this error:

ALSA 1.0.16 doesn't work for 2.6.25 kernel. Get the latest HG version.

ok - good to know that it is an known issue and not me who is doing sth wrong! very much thanks for the clarification. now i ll have a look for 'the latest HG version'.
