Hi,
I recently installed Windows 8 parallel to linux and there is no sound in linux after rebooting. I guess the win8 conexant driver messes something up.
A quick fix is to change this in HDAAnalyzer:
GPIO: io=4, o=0, i=0, unsolicited=1, wake=0 IO[0]: enable=1, dir=1, wake=0, sticky=0, data=0, unsol=0 IO[1]: enable=0, dir=0, wake=0, sticky=0, data=0, unsol=0 IO[2]: enable=0, dir=0, wake=0, sticky=0, data=0, unsol=0 IO[3]: enable=0, dir=0, wake=0, sticky=0, data=0, unsol=0
Either set enable=0 or data=1 -> Internal Audio + Headphones work again. This is persistent between reboots. Booting Win8 resets this again.
I would be very happy to test a patch.
So the GPIO should have been adjusted by the driver from the beginning. Could you give your hardware details? At best, give the output of alsa-info.sh. Run it with --no-upload option and attach the output.
thanks,
Takashi
