Right, looks like the disconnect I thought it was - this has been discussed a lot within your distro (and possibly others) but not outside it so the rest of us are all a bit surprised.
That isn't "my" distro. My distro, if anything, would be ChromeOS, and the associated bug would be https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=786522.
