$ speaker-test -Dhw:0,3 -c8 -twav

Unfortunately there was no audio output. :(

It looks all sane with HDMI audio. Would you verify HDMI playback with command
speaker-test -Dhw:0,3 -c8 -twav
?
Or are there any more concerns?
