[alsa-devel] snd-hda-audio speaker not working on Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 14 notebook

Hi there I found that by default the headphone jack was working but the speakers were not on my new Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 14 (model A01-431-C7F9, Intel Braswell chipset). I tried a bunch of different model= parameters to the snd-hda-audio module in modprobe.d until I finally got it working, I needed to add: options snd-hda-audio model=alc283-dac-wcaps to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

After doing so the speakers and headphone jack both worked great instead of just the headphone.

I just wanted to report this in case it might help someone integrate the fix into alsa so this model gets detected automatically in the future

Aplay -l lists the card as HDA Intel PCH / ALC233 Analog.
