Ah, missed that this was only in the context of HDMI. The discussion in Edinburgh was mainly in the context of PCM.
The only in-tree ALSA driver supporting HDMI HBR is HDA, AFAICS.
Right, though the upstreaming of HDMI has been very poor in general - vendor trees have much more support.
