Another step toward unification of the ad1848_lib and wss_lib.
I would like to ask Rene for gathering all these patches into his git tree so they can be pushed from there once the unification is finished.

Thanks, now all your patches are on my sound-unstable tree. I'll move it to the sound tree once after the merge window is closed.
