[PATCH 00/13] irqchip: Convert to platform remove callback returning void

this series converts all drivers below drivers/irqchip to use .remove_new(). See commit 5c5a7680e67b ("platform: Provide a remove callback that returns no value") for an extended explanation and the eventual goal. The TL;DR; is to make it harder for driver authors to leak resources. The drivers touched here are all fine though and don't return early in .remove(). So all conversions in this series are trivial. [PATCH] slimbus: core: Remove usage of the deprecated ida_simple_xx() API

ida_alloc() and ida_free() should be preferred to the deprecated ida_simple_get() and ida_simple_remove(). Note that the upper limit of ida_simple_get() is exclusive, but the one of ida_alloc_range() is inclusive. So change this change allows one more device. Previously address 0xFE was never used. Codec stops working after sleep and resume

can't find the source of the problem or a way to solve it. Is there anything I might be missing? I assume the problem is that it's trying to write to the registers after the suspend has happened, but I haven't been able to prove that either, and I wouldn't know how to fix that. [PATCH v8 00/13] Introduce STM32 Firewall framework

Introduce STM32 Firewall framework for STM32MP1x and STM32MP2x platforms. STM32MP1x(ETZPC) and STM32MP2x(RIFSC) Firewall controllers register to the framework to offer firewall services such as access granting. This series of patches is a new approach on the previous STM32 system bus, history is available here: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20230127164040.1047583/ The need for such framework arises from the fact that there are now multiple hardware firewalls implemented across multiple products. Drivers are shared between different products, using the same code. When it comes to firewalls, the purpose mostly stays the same: Protect hardware resources. But the implementation differs, and there are multiple types of firewalls: peripheral, memory, ... Some hardware firewall controllers such as the RIFSC implemented on STM32MP2x platforms may require to take ownership of a resource before being able to use it, hence the requirement for firewall services to take/release the ownership of such resources. On the other hand, hardware firewall configurations are becoming more and more complex. These mecanisms prevent platform crashes or other firewall-related incoveniences by denying access to some resources. The stm32 firewall framework offers an API that is defined in firewall controllers drivers to best fit the specificity of each firewall. For every peripherals protected by either the ETZPC or the RIFSC, the firewall framework checks the firewall controlelr registers to see if the peripheral's access is granted to the Linux kernel. If not, the peripheral is configured as secure, the node is marked populated, so that the driver is not probed for that device. The firewall framework relies on the access-controller device tree binding. It is used by peripherals to reference a domain access controller. In this case a firewall controller. The bus uses the ID referenced by the access-controller property to know where to look in the firewall to get the security configuration for the peripheral. This allows a device tree description rather than a hardcoded peripheral table in the bus driver. The STM32 ETZPC device is responsible for filtering accesses based on security level, or co-processor isolation for any resource connected to it. The RIFSC is responsible for filtering accesses based on Compartment ID / security level / privilege level for any resource connected to it. STM32MP13/15/25 SoC device tree files are updated in this series to implement this mecanism. The speaker and hdmi of mt8186 platform are shared the same port of I2S, when connect the external display, use build-in speakers to play audio, they both playback at the same time. So we want to manage the playback device through DAPM events. Add the main WCD9390/WCD9395 Audio Codec driver to support: - 4 ADC inputs for up to 5 Analog Microphones - 4 DMIC inputs for up to 8 Digital Microphones - 4 Microphone BIAS - Stereo Headphone output - Mono EAR output - MBHC engine for Headset Detection This adds: - bindings - MBHC changes to support Type-C muc - Soundwire Slave driver - Code driver The USB Mux subsystem support will be submitted separalety since it's a functionally separate subsystem connected over I2C with it's own reset signal. Audio signal processing also has the requirement for memory to memory similar as Video. This asrc memory to memory (memory ->asrc->memory) case is a non real time use case. User fills the input buffer to the asrc module, after conversion, then asrc sends back the output buffer to user. So it is not a traditional ALSA playback and capture case. It is a specific use case, there is no reference in current kernel. v4l2 memory to memory is the closed implementation, v4l2 current support video, image, radio, tuner, touch devices, so it is not complicated to add support for this specific audio case. Because we had implemented the "memory -> asrc ->i2s device-> codec" use case in ALSA. Now the "memory->asrc->memory" needs to reuse the code in asrc driver, so the first 3 patches is for refining the code to make it can be shared by the "memory->asrc->memory" driver. The main change is in the v4l2 side, A /dev/vl4-audioX will be created, user applications only use the ioctl of v4l2 framework.
