On i.MX8MM, the MCTL_MCLK_EN bit it is not only the gate for MCLK output to PAD, but also the gate bit between root clock and SAI module, So it is need to be enabled for master mode, otherwise there is no bclk generated. [PATCH 1/2] ASoC: fsl-asoc-card: add nau8822 support

This is for an imx6sx EVB which has a nau8822 codec connects to the SSI2 interface, so add the nau8822 support in this machine driver. Because the codec driver nau8822.c doesn't handle mclk enabling, here adding a codec_priv->mclk for nau8822 and similar codecs which need to enable the mclk in the machine driver, and enable the mclk in the card_late_probe() conditionally. [PATCH v2 00/65] clk: Make determine_rate mandatory for muxes

Hi, This is a follow-up to a previous series that was printing a warning when a mux has a set_parent implementation but is missing determine_rate(). The rationale is that set_parent() is very likely to be useful when changing the rate, but it's determine_rate() that takes the parenting decision. If we're missing it, then the current parent is always going to be used, and thus set_parent() will not be used. The only exception being a direct call to clk_set_parent(), but those are fairly rare compared to clk_set_rate(). Stephen then asked to promote the warning to an error, and to fix up all the muxes that are in that situation first. [PATCH] ASoC: da7219: Fix pole orientation detection on OMTP headsets when playing music

The OMTP pin define headsets can be mis-detected as line out instead of OMTP, causing obvious issues with audio quality. This patch is to put increased resistances within the device at a suitable point. To solve this issue better, the new mechanism setup ground switches with conditional delay control and these allow for more stabile detection process to operate as intended. This conditional delay control will not impact the hardware process but use extra system resource. This commit improves control of ground switches in the AAD logic. Zero-length arrays are deprecated and we are moving towards adopting C99 flexible-array members, instead. So, replace zero-length arrays declarations in anonymous union with the new __DECLARE_FLEX_ARRAY() helper macro. This helper allows for flexible-array members in unions. [PATCH] Sound: pci/hda: Add quirk for HP Envy x360 ey0xxx

This patch fixes speaker output on the HP Envy x360 ey0xxx The mic/speaker mute LEDs are still non-functional but they aren't required for basic funtionality Also the quirk is labeled ALC287_FIXUP_CS35L41_I2C_2 however it does not only apply to ALC287 Its function is the generic cs35l41 fixup telling the driver that there's 2 i2c speakers.
