Media Device Allocator API to allows multiple drivers share a media device. This API solves a very common use-case for media devices where one physical device (an USB stick) provides both audio and video. When such media device exposes a standard USB Audio class, a proprietary Video class, two or more independent drivers will share a single physical USB bridge. In such cases, it is necessary to coordinate access to the shared resource. Using this API, drivers can allocate a media device with the shared struct device as the key. Once the media device is allocated by a driver, other drivers can get a reference to it. The media device is released when all the references are released. When resume, the sequence is: hdac_hdmi_runtime_resume() => snd_hdac_display_power() hdac_hdmi_xxx_widget_event() The hdac_hdmi_xxx_widget_event() are based on the power being on. Otherwise, the operation on the codec register will fail. However, in snd_hdac_display_power(), it may sleep because of the mutex_lock() in display driver. In this case, hdac_hdmi_xxx_widget_event() will be called before the power is on. We used to put the additional include path $includedir/alsa in pkgconfig just because some applications have included asoundlib.h like #include <asoundlib.h> although the canonical form should be #include <alsa/asoundlib.h> However, adding this include path is significantly dangerous due to possible conflicts of file names like version.h. It's already the reason to discourage people using alsa.pc for the packages. In this patch, the additional include path from alsa.pc is dropped finally. At the same time, as a rescue plan for the programs including via <asoundlib.h>, a stub header file is provided in include/sound/asoundlib.h. It just includes alsa/asoundlib.h with a warning to suggest for replacing with alsa/asoundlib.h. Actually this is the same file as we install into sys/asoundlib.h, so the whole changes are very minimal here.
