Keep hdac-codec to be in runtime suspended while entering to suspend. If hdac-codec is already in runtime suspend state skip its power down sequence in prepare, power up sequence in complete phase. Avoid resuming hdac controller PCI device 00:1f.3 from runtime suspend state in case hdac-codec already in runtime-suspend state, this is unnecessary and block the direct complete even for hdac controller PCI device 00:1f.3. This enabled direct complete path for hdac-codec and PCI device 00:1f.3. This is a rework of Cyrille's patches named: [PATCH v3 0/2] ASoC: add driver for Atmel I2S controller https://lkml.org/lkml/2015/9/29/454 This is the version 5 of the series, and addresses the received feedback on the mailing lists. This series applies on top of clk-next branch of clk/linux.git. Based on received feedback, I created a mux clock driver to select the I2S clock source, that also includes proper devicetree bindings and nodes. Also, I added the I2S nodes in sama5d2's devicetree, with the missing pin muxing for the second I2S controller. Alexandre Belloni plans to change the at91 fine grained clock nodes and he recommended to leave the bindings for this clock driver in the same (wrong) manner, so he could fix them all at once. This series of patches adds support to the new Atmel I2S controller embedded on sama5d2 SoCs. [alsa-devel] poll blocked after prepare state

Hi I have a problem when I got an underrun that my playback path is not working correctly any longer. I debugged the problem and see that the snd_pcm_direct_prepare function is called and than the snd_pcm_dshare_start function. After this the snd_pcm_write_areas is called and the snd_pcm_wait_nocheck never returns. He is blocked in the poll function. Is there any solution for this problem?! best regards Harald

During d3/d0 cycle, the connection selection index of all pins points to the default value. This needs to be restored to ensure audio is restored after d3/d0 cycle. So store the connection selection index and program it during jack report event which gets invoked in cases like d3/d0 cycle, hot plug detection when multiple displays are connected. Many Intel platforms (SKL, KBL) etc. in the market supports enhanced audio capabilities which also includes DSP processing. The default HDaudio legacy driver does not allow for the use of the DSP, this patch set makes it possible while reusing existing code for HDAudio codecs and without significant changes to the legacy driver. This v3 is not split into two batches as done for v1 and v2, but keeps the same logical progression. The first three patches are mostly data structure changes, the DSP support capability is added then with an ASoC HDA driver and the last patches are fixes required for Skylake+. The changes to the HDAudio legacy driver are minimal. Tests were run successfully on multiple platforms (Dell XPS13, KBL NUC, APL NUC and LeafHill reference board). Credits: all the initial code was written by Rakesh Ughreja, the rebase to broonie/for-next, cleanups and additional tests were done by Pierre Bossart. Currently, in the SoundWire subsystem, the concept of stream is limited to a Master and one or more Slaves(Codecs). This series aims to add support for multiple Master(s) sharing the same reference clock and synchronized in the hardware.
