Initial version of TWL6040 codec driver.
The TWL6040 codec uses a proprietary PDM-based digital audio interface.
Audio paths supported are:
- Input: Main Mic, Sub Mic, Headset Mic, Auxiliary-FM Left/Right
- Output: Headset Left/Right, Handsfree Left/Right
TWL6040 codec supports power-up/down manual and automatic sequence.
Manual sequence is done through a specific register writes sequence.
Automatic sequence is done when the codec is powered-up through the
external AUDPWRON line. The completion of the sequence is signaled
through the audio interrupt.
TWL6040 codec sysclk can be provided by: low-power or high
performance PLL:
- The low-power PLL takes a low-frequency input at 32,768 Hz and
generates an approximate of 17.64 or 19.2 MHz (for 44.1 KHz and 48 KHz
respectively)
- The high-performance PLL generates an exact 19.2 MHz clock signal
from high-frequency input at 12/19.2/26/38.4 MHz.
Low-power playback mode is a special scenario where only headset path
(headset DAC and driver) is active.
For the particular case of headset path, PLL being used defines the
headset power mode: low-power, high-performance.

Hello,
tlv320dac33 can not support DSP_B mode since the data delay can not be set to be
actually 0. Only DSP_A mode can be supported, so fix the DSP_A mode, and remove
the DSP_B.
The original internal clock distribution config has been found to be not
optimal, so fix that as well.

My audio codec is Conexant CX20561 (Hermosa) (haven't been able to find
anything about 'Hermosa' on the Wiki).
I'd like to be able to do a few things which I have not been able to do with
tutorials I found on the web:
- Whenever I plug in headphones, HDMI output is muted and headphones are
enabled
- Right now, the way I do this is by manually editing /etc/asound.conf to
have the following (commented out makes headphones work, not commented makes
HDMI work without any headphone/laptop speaker output)

where 3 is my HDMI (IEC958 2; no idea what IEC958 1 is for) output. So I have
a switcher script that does the commenting and uncommenting. Would be nice if
this could be automatic (even if alsa had to run such a script on detecting
headphones).
- Route audio output (PCM) to input (for mixer recording) (Intel HDA cannot do
this apparently by default (thanks DRM), needs some hacking around?)

Are my model options correct?
And if it's important to know, I build ALSA in-kernel. Is this not

Initial version of TWL6040 codec driver.
The TWL6040 codec uses a proprietary PDM-based digital audio interface.
Audio paths supported are:
- Input: Main Mic, Sub Mic, Headset Mic, Auxiliary-FM Left/Right
- Output: Headset Left/Right, Handsfree Left/Right
TWL6040 codec supports power-up/down manual and automatic sequence.
Manual sequence is done through a specific register writes sequence.
Automatic sequence is done when the codec is powered-up through the
external AUDPWRON line. The completion of the sequence is signaled
through the audio interrupt.
TWL6040 codec sysclk can be provided by: low-power or high
performance PLL:
- The low-power PLL takes a low-frequency input at 32,768 Hz and
generates an approximate of 17.64 or 19.2 MHz (for 44.1 KHz and 48 KHz
respectively)
- The high-performance PLL generates an exact 19.2 MHz clock signal
from high-frequency input at 12/19.2/26/38.4 MHz.
Low-power playback mode is a special scenario where only headset path
(headset DAC and driver) is active.
For the particular case of headset path, PLL being used defines the
headset power mode: low-power, high-performance.
