I am not sure how you are going to get support if you ask multiple 
questions without waiting for answers.
So it does look like you were able to solve the firmware timeouts?

Now based on the messages it looks like you didn't set the proper mixer 
controls to link front-end and back-ends. Are you even able to play and 
go past the prepare step?

And to answer to another question in another email, while the hardware 
is mostly common there are firmware/BIOS differences between BSW and 
CherryTrail CR. If you use the upstream code you want to stick to BSW 
and not try to mix and match.
