[alsa-devel] [PATCH] ASoC: Add ADAU1977 CODEC driver

Lars-Peter Clausen lars at metafoo.de
Tue Feb 18 15:57:35 CET 2014

This patch adds support for the ADAU1977, ADAU1978 and ADAU1979 audio CODEC
devices. They are a family of 4-channel differential input audio ADC devices.
They can be connected to either a SPI or I2C bus. The driver is implemented in
three modules, one main module (adau1977.ko) which implements the device logic
and one module each for SPI (adau1977-spi.ko) and I2C (adau1977-i2c.ko) bus
access.

Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars at metafoo.de>
---
Changes since v1:
	* Split out devicetree support into a separate patch. Will be submitted
	  after this has been merged.
	* gpiod_set_value -> gpiod_set_value_cansleep
	* Split adau1977_set_power() into adau1977_disable_power() and
	  adau1977_enable_power() as most of the code for those two cases was on
	  different paths and was a bit hard to follow due to both being
	  implemented in the same function.
	* Moved duplicated rate to FS field setting lookup to separate helper
	  function.
	* Drop 'if (stream == SNDRV_PCM_STREAM_PLAYBACK) ...' in adau1977_mute()
	  since the core should make sure that this never happens
