Dear All,
I can not make my sound card working correctly.
When I use hda-intel-generic I get sound from external and internal speaker, but only at the same time. External micro works well, internal micro does not. Could not test HDMI yet, but the mixer lacks all controls so far.
When I compile in conexant-codec, then I get more controls, but can not make external output working. External micro works, internal micro does not. I have 4 micros as choice, only one is functional.
The module for ati-hdmi is never loaded.
When I use Ubuntu 10.10 instead with kernel-2.3.35 and alsa-drivers-1.0.23 I get internal and external output correctly. Still internal microphone does not work.
The module for ati-hdmi is loaded, conexant-codec is not loaded but hda-intel-generic only. So far this combination works best related to sound, but i can not go back, because the graphic is not supported yet. Graphic support starts with 2.6.38-rc4.
I tried already all possible models for the module loading, nothing helped. Attached please find a lot of technical output. Please tell me, in case you need more information.
Please may I ask you for any help and support to setup the device correctly. It is such a nice laptop and it's a pity I can not benefit from sound.
